At the peak of my ED, my mom was praising my weight loss. My best friend, who was the only one who knew, quickly and aggressively corrected her own parents when they said I looked good 😭 she saved me

When I was at the worst of my ED I also had a bff who I was in an extremely codependent friendship with a girl who also had an ED and I was constantly comparing/competing with to get thinner and thinn

It’s so serious! All of your vital electrolytes are altered and your vital organs fail-especially heart. As a teenager I had a bad ED in retrospect an effort to have some control in my toxic household

like when i had a severe ED i also deflected and said i was fine bc DUH the disorder wants to continue! i only got help as a result of uncomfortable & unsolicited confrontation, but i’m so glad i did!

My grandfather used to sigh and say “such a tragedy” every time he heard a Carpenters song and now my mom does it still. Truly such a heartbreaking situation.

I've been inpatient twice for AN, 6mo total. I was in clinics+appts for 5+ years. I say I have ED-dar. They could have an illness, but I can see when the body doesn't WANT to be that thin. Like w/Ari.
