@complete_preservation: It collapsed😮 I’m going to show you why the floor collapsed at this property. You probably would never have seen this before, so hopefully you’ll learn something about what I get up to as part of my job investigating weird building defects and repairing them. I really enjoy it as it’s like playing with boys toys everyday 👍 Now woodworm and timber decay like wet and dry rot need moisture initially to begin with, and also while growing. What you tend to find is something has changed, and this is excess moisture is what we need to find. In some cases it can be multiple contributing factors…. But I still need to find them and not jump to conclusions. One of the biggest issues is drains so you’ll have see what we find in the next video to see if this was also a cause. Now lots of people say you don’t need to treat timber for woodworm in a suspended timber floor, but you’ll find it’s people that really don’t understand moisture and buildings so just ignore the poor advice. My tip to you is if you come across woodworm, damp, wet rot and dry rot, and even rats it’s probably best to hire a professional. I have lots of video with tips to help you , but if you have a question drop them in the comments please.
