why does filament need a RFID tag. what kinda Big Brother surveillance/control is this? asking as a non 3d printer owner. has the vibes of when printer ink expires but only printed one page.

Can you explain a little bit more on what the RIFD tags do? I’m actually looking at buying my first ever bamboo printer and it’s a big jump from my little creality ender 3 and needless to say this post has caused some confusion for me

Out of curiosity, have you spoken with other filament manufacturers as well? As having several filament producers approaching the companies with a united front might have a bit more weight
