Not really crane probably was in duty , early morning lifts with long fly jibs in cold environment have an effect on boom alignment due to the sun upon the single side heating the high carbon steel. This induces steel growth which induces out of boom axis condition. Long fly + out of axis alignment = loss of structural strength due to boom twist . Operators manuals never cover this aspect . Time in the game.
