You can add poly to sawdust make it more of a slurry to smooth into cracks with a large putty knife

i used gorilla wood glue with grain and it was a similar texture to this but less time and more precise looks really good though

There is a specific type of epoxy you can mix with sawdust for this purpose. It’s a lot thinner and will withstand the wear.
