@jenksbbq: Smoked Turkey - with a twist! Let’s make a naked smoked turkey—that’s right, no skin, just pure juicy, smoky, flavorful goodness! With the help of @Heath Riles BBQ Seasonings and my @recteq pellet smoker, this turkey is guaranteed to steal the holiday spotlight. Recipe: ✅ Whole turkey (skin removed for extra seasoning penetration). ✅ Coat with mayonnaise to lock in moisture. ✅ Season generously with Heath Riles Honey Rub. ✅ Insert a probe thermometer (@typhur_culinary )perfect temperature control. ✅ Smoke on the pellet smoker at 250°F until the internal temp reaches 140°F. ✅ Make the glaze: mix Heath Riles Maple Honey Habanero Rub, melted butter, and more Honey Rub. ✅ Glaze the turkey and smoke until the internal temp hits 160°F. ✅ Remove, glaze again, wrap in foil, and let it rest for at least 10 minutes. The result? A juicy smoked turkey with smoky, sweet, and spicy flavors that will blow your guests away. Who needs skin when the bird is this good?! ✔️ Save this recipe for your Thanksgiving feast or any time you’re craving a smoked whole turkey on the pellet smoker! #SmokedTurkey #thanksgivingdinner #turkeytiktok #PelletSmoker #pelletgrill #ThanksgivingRecipes

I’m doing a 21lb thinking of doing it this way. You said 6 hours what temp did you cook at and how many lbs was yours?

6 hours seems like a long time for a spatchcock turkey. Did I miss something?

Will this style of smoking be good/ok with brining before? I don't see why not, just checking if you've tried it. I have a really good citrus brine I use every year for my smoked turkeys.
