Why is he “not remembered as a hero?” I thought Wind Waker’s opening scene states that the hero of time was a known hero and they even prayed for his return but he never came back, so they DO remember

ocarina of Time link was for morsel about not being remembered as a hero because it meant the burden being the hero is on someone else. he made sure to lighten that burden as much as possible

I actually think that hyrule historia is correct only because he never makes it back from the lost woods. He obviously does in there seeing as in TP he’s a stalfos in the spirit world.
