I'd be surprised I'd they did this because a continued protagonist would have been smarter with the Inquisitor since most people seemed happy with their Inq and it made sense for Inq to go after Solas

I know I might be in the minority, but DAV feels like it was made for me. The whole game feels amazing, I love the dialogue bc it reminds me of my friends and I, and Rook I swear has my personality

I've seen fans getting super upset over Veilguard normalizing the worldstate, but to your point, something had to give. It was going to become impossible to manage very soon

Honestly I had basically zero attachment to my Inquisitor and I’m way more fond of my rooks, so this wouldn’t upset me, but I think they’d have to lean more into how personality driven Hawke was-
