Daniel Niess :
I often pretend this episode is reality and Van Gogh died knowing we all understood and loved his tormented genius

Incandescent Joy :
It wasn't about him finding out he was famous. This fictionalized version of him just wanted to be appreciated. He was moved that people eventually understood him, his vision, his pain

He was so happy just to hear that his work was loved and appreciated and that his life meant something.

I think about how Van Gogh died thinking he'd be forgotten, and it SADDENS me that he didn't recognise how magnificent he was. How magnificent his work was...is

Best Dr.Who episode ever. Someone was in their feels when they wrote this one. Trauma either breaks us or we heal. sometimes we leave a sign we were there that lasts when we don't make it to healing.

I am not ashamed to say that this episode had me bawling like a baby at the end. Absolutely amazing episode that's sticks with me to this day.

To realize that the man that you're talking about is 3 feet away from you. I would just be in awe.
