Over thinkers tend to focus on the negative result upon taking a risk that is required to succeed. It’s why many people who are successful aren’t smart but they were able to take the risk without even acknowledging the cost of taking the risk.

It not smart people that overthink but people like me who went through childhood trauma! We overthink everything because the trauma plays over and over! We are constantly in flight or fight mode.

Ive been called a smart kid my whole life. Im always confused when people ask me what i "prefer", because im like "they are both good options depends on how you see it" and i always say idk

This is me for 50+ years. Because if childhood trauma I became an avoidant who suppressed all emotions, and even thought I was superior because of that. what a mess. don't have joy anymore
