I’m type A but can’t use budgeting apps. When I get paid I pay all the bills due before my next paycheck. Then I know the money left is what I have for food and gas and I just ration that lol 🤷🏻♀️

Budgeting is deciding before the month where your money will go instead of tracking where it went. It's a lot more about mindset than math. Getting good at it takes time and practice.

You Need A Budget is the best in my opinion. I watched their start up vids and it explained a lot. It’s also not natural to me and I have ADHD so I’m a mess. But I like YNAB.

My only tips are 1) split the month in half so you can balance the bills. Ex: mortgage/rent comes out 1st 1/2 and car payments 2nd 1/2. 2) Set up auto billing as much as possible to reduce late fees
