Rescuing a Fan's Phone: Recovering 200GB of Data from a Dead CPU A fan sent me his brand-new-looking phone that suddenly couldn't turn on. Initially, the Wi-Fi stopped working, and after some research, he found many others faced the same issue. The official after-sales service offered a free motherboard replacement, but that meant losing over 200GB of precious data. After negotiating with them for over a month without success, he turned to me for help. Upon inspection, the motherboard was pristine with no signs of damage. However, when testing, the current stayed at 200mA, indicating that the CPU had likely overheated and "committed suicide." This type of repair is stressful because if unsuccessful, the data could be lost forever.
