@sophiemorrisofficial: As I’ve said before we don’t have to completely cut packaged foods out of our diet! I just don’t think that’s realistic in our modern world between work, parenting, school runs, keeping the house in order, laundry, cooking, exercise, spending time with friends and family... literally ALL the things. We do want to try and get the majority of our foods from unprocessed whole foods and I love to think of it as the 80:20 rule where you get 80% of your calories from nutrient dense whole foods or minimally processed foods and the remaining 20% however you like - like your favourite chocolate, ice cream whatever! So when it comes to kids ice pops, obviously it’s really lovely to make your own and pack some nutrients in there… I love to freeze leftover fruit smoothies in lolly moulds for the kids! But is that realistic all the time? I don’t think so for the majority of us! And we don’t have to because of… the 80:20 rule!! That said we should be mindful of how much sugar our kids get throughout the day.. this includes honey, maple syrup, sugar etc because they all have the same effect in our body and so when buying ice pops for the kids it’s a good idea to check out the sugar content when choosing! There’s a huge difference between 15g of sugar like in the jiggly pops and only 4.2g of sugar in these milk lollies!! So making that swap for your kids ice pops would make a huge impact on their total sugar intake for that day 👌 #nutrition #ultraprocessedfood #cleverswaps #sugar

Mi Wadi + water in those silicone freezer cases save a lot of hassle. The kids enjoy making them too.

The Polar Bar you picked up there, I used to love in place of the Iceberger until the kids left one in the back of the car and it never even melted! Safe to say it's not ice-cream in the middle 🙈
