We have some amazing history in NYC. I feel like it’s not promoted enough. Boston does this really well with the Freedom Trail. Our Revolutionary War history in NYC should really stand out much more.

But the stars and stripes was not the official flag at that time, in fact, there was none. Check your history books, ma'am. Might have been any number if different styles of patriot flags then in use.

Go about a block and a half north and on your left you’ll see a plaque commemorating the pole climb and the gent’s name. I think it’s opposite Wall St.
