What have you trained your kids to do a little too well? I feel like every family has the one thing that they really train their kids to do. I have friends who love experiencing new foods so their kids are expert restaurant goers (mine are not 🙃) We love museums so we worked very hard from a young age to Museum train these children. Are they sports game trained? No. They are very squirrely and have a hard time sitting down to watch a game. I know other kids are used to doing that activity and are professionals at it. Do they know not to touch priceless artifacts? Yes. Did we maybe train them a little too well? And now we have created Museum monsters? Also yes. I apologize to their future partners when they drag them through hours and hours and hours of museums. The child will not be satisfied until we have read every plaque to him. We literally had to cancel other plans on this trip because we could not convince him to spend *only* 4 hours in the museums. My husband and I met in AP Gov, became friends in high school History club, and honeymooned in Washington DC so this isn't a surprise but I didn't think the child would outpace us 😅.
