I've plugged plenty of tires ans had zero issues for the remaing life of the tire. I get it, shops don't want the responsibility. they error on the side of caution.

Yea it’s a temp fix but the main reason the tire shop won’t fix the sidewall patch because it’s unsafe and they don’t want to be held reliable for when it gives outIt’s just better to get a new tire.
