Just remove the door, add a panel inside the door arch but on the bedroom side. On the living room side, make shelves in the empty space and decorate with small plants, books, or photos.

Ok hear me out but what about a nice curtain right along that wall and over the door. It will create a cute cozy atmosphere (think theatre vibes) and should also create some psychological lightness
