I worked for a cruise company and if you booked an accessible room and don’t require the features of that room we can actually deny boarding. Some people try and book those rooms for more space

I work in disability policy. It's on the company to be more aware, it's not acceptable not to know. They have a responsibility to employ a disability advisor and sort it out.

they shouldn't be asking them to swap rooms - if they don't need an accessible room and they've been given it they should be kicked out and put into a standard room with the same bed numbers. then it's too bad for them but you did all the paperwork correct so the cruise company needs to do their part now
