B8ble doesn't tell us to forgive others who wrong us *unless* they come to us admitting sin and asking our forgiveness. God Himself doesn't just freely forgive us either *unless* we Confess, Repent & Ask His forgiveness. So. We have a clear example. By all means, make peace with being wronged but there's zero reason to forgive being wronged if the perpetrator isnt sorry & continues after you. Safest thing,vis to protect yourself and guard your heart against bitterness,revenge and falling victim again.

To reconcile is to bring something to wholeness. My experience has been that the relationships in my life that were toxic where never whole to begin with. You can’t put back together something that never existed. Forgiveness can breed reconciliation be recinciliaton is not a requirement of forgiveness.
