dude the sleep thing for kids. I made the mistake of letting my kid stay up 30 MINUTES extra because he was getting older (3rd grade). nope. that was a mistake 😭

my mom never did baby talk with me, she always spoke to me as an actual person, just used a more gentle tone. i think her experience with mentally disabled people helped in a way
