Firstly, that is not in the city. Additionally, some departments (districts) have those lines because banks do not have as many ATMs as in the city. These ATMs are usually busy on payday

I'm in Panama. It's like that here too. They use their bank's ATM, because the other bank's ATM will bite a surcharge. Every dollar counts for these families.

That long line is cause everybody gets paid in the middle of the month and the end of the month. so they need to retrieve money to pay bills or buy groceries. most people don't shop in the supermarket

Good Tips, you will usually find long lines in the ATMs, on different national paydays, Like 15th, 21th or also the Las Day in the Month.

is more likely a day that they have paid and most bank with agricola. if you are bringing a debit/credit card from the US you can use Cuscatlan the commission is less to withdraw. is not about the ATM

that's nothing, when I go to the canton bank I have to wait for the money to be taken by helicopter to the bank😂

They are using the ATM because they are collecting remittances, however the other ATMs do work but they cannot make those transactions.
