we go to the beach with our in laws and get 2 rooms, they requested side by side rooms on the 1st floor because of young children. they tried to put us on the top floor and we refused. they got us 1

Ex Marriott worker here AND housekeeping supervisor. Personally I would have asked the housekeeper to do that room and then proceed with her other ones. That is just good guest service.

At the hotel I work at, if you stay past 2PM you have to pay for another night. Housekeepers don't work 24 hours a day
