@canadiancarpenter: Step up block aka rafter blocking a truss roof. This isn’t usually the types of truss roofs we do but it’s good to show other ways every now and then. It’s been a long time since I’ve done one like this but most of my Toronto area people know what’s happening here 😂👍. It’s important to cut these with some form of care because if ya don’t the trusses will lean and you will basically screw yourself on the opposing side. now there’s many ways to lay these out. Some guys will just do plumb cut to plumb cut, but I like to make the ninja notch, a.k.a. Crowsfoot just so I don’t have to plane anything off. It can sit on top of the truss and it automatically planes.
