Thank you!!!The music for "Carol of the Bells" was written in 1914 by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych…..my grandparents fled in 1913, the year my father was born.

fun fact,the original song is not a Christmas song at all.it is a new year's song about spring time,composed in 1916,though the lyrics/song itself is centuries old and dates back to prechristian times
