@cheddar: Might be a good idea to skip the turkey fryer this year. 🦃🔥 Thanksgiving has more home cooking fires than any other day, according to the National Fire Protection Association. In this video, the NFPA and CPSC show just how dangerous turkey fryers can be. Within seconds, flames erupt, setting a deck and roof ablaze. #turkey #thanksgiving #fire #food #fry #safety #holiday #cooking #news

Never understood why people try turkey inside or in the garage. It should be outside away from the house

No frozen birds pre measure oil level and don’t drop it in oil and you’re 100% safe

If done properly, and if you turn the gas off to add the turkey after the oil gets to temp, this won't happen.

Why people continue using these type of fryers is beyond me. Char broil makes a oil less convection air fryer that provides same results without the mess, oil, fires and burns.

Proper oil level is Turkey frying 101. I always turn fire off when putting in the fryer. Make sure Turkey is thawed completely and dried off. Do mine in garage every year
