The screwbots factory trend where people were just taking genshin characters and wearing stereotypical “egyptian” dress and dance. 2. i see cosplayers complain about those who don’t have a fancy prop or styled wigs or the most expensive cosplay. has it ever ran across your mind that some people simply are not rich enough for that. or, they may have a disability that prevents them from being able to create. It’s not hurting you, it’s not affecting you. So it doesn’t matter. 3. You do not need the aid. You do not need to buy it. It’s weird. I see content where people who say they don’t need a mobility aid will use the aids that they don’t need to make “funny” content about a character who is physically disabled, when in reality its just casual ableism. Also, do not assume someone doesn’t need an aid, invisible disabilities exist. 4. The argument that there is a perfect body for a character when in reality, the character isn’t real! There is no body you need. and the amount of cosplayers that normalize not eating before a shoot or convention to look better are disgusting. It’s affecting younger cosplayers, who claim they need to loose weight to look right. 5. Should be self explanatory. but when yall talk about the right face all your talking points are just eurocentric features. This also includes the amount of fatphobia, which can be directly linked to anti-blackness. Yall do not hide the fact that you do not want any poc in your community. Your beauty standards are based in eurocentric standards. You do nothing but tear us down. You cry when a black cosplayer cosplays an anime character, claiming it’s because the character isn’t black. Yet you turn around and cosplay that same character while being white. but, that logic and argument does not apply to you for some reason, you just don’t want poc in your community. You preach cosplay is for everyone, but the second they are not white, you take it back. This community is not accepting and I will die on that hill!
