@nontoxicdad: 🚫 Stop using TOXIC rinse aids in your dishwasher—here’s why: Most rinse aids contain ethyl oxalate, a chemical that can leave harmful residues on your dishes. Studies show this can damage your gut’s epithelial lining, which protects your body from viruses, bacteria, and toxins. 🛡️ To protect your health, 🚮 those toxic rinse aids and replace them with healthier dishwashing practices such as: 1️⃣ Cleaning your dishwasher regularly with white vinegar. 2️⃣ Using sodium-based detergents to soften water and reduce streaking. 3️⃣ Adding 1-2 tablespoons of white vinegar to each load; it’s a natural, streak-free solution. #Dishwasher #CleaningHacks #HomeImprovement #HealthHacks #NonToxicLiving
That’s why you don’t directly injest it. It rinses off, it’s not still on your dishes. I wouldn’t drink rinse aid any more than I would eat a detergent pod 🤦

I don’t care what it does. I’m more concerned at how shining my dishes are and no spots.

Put a ball of aluminum foil in the wash. It reduces spotting on all the items. Change out every two or three washes
