Is it hydrolyzed chicken or chicken fat? My girl was allergic to most proteins, out of RX food at 6 months old. So lots of experience with this. For most dogs fats are safe and do not cause reactions.

My dog is on a Hydrolized protein diet - about $120 a month and it’s helped her a lot. I get it in smaller bags than the 17 lb one because she started turning her nose up toward the end of the bag.

If you have a minute, look into the brand Grandma Mae's Country Naturals. I had this problem with my dog and the levels of DL-Methionine in their food really helped.
