@tylakrystalsingirok: Visit to Mt Zion Inclusive Education Resource Center 🌸✨ Last week Monday I had the privilege of visiting the Mt Zion Inclusive Education Resource Center in Goroka, EHP. It is a Catholic run educational institution for persons with disabilities. I was also fortunate to have met the Minister of Community Development, Religion and Youth, Hon.Jason Peter, MP who unbeknownst to me, also showed up at the school for a visit. One thing I learnt from that visit was that the school employs its former students who’ve graduated and have gone on to securing some form of teaching qualification. The teachers who are teaching the children with special needs, are also persons with disabilities. For instance, the head teacher that teaches vision impaired students how to read braille is also vision impaired.
