Replying to @zekesnonna I LOVE to see a question like this coming in from a grandparent 🤩 The most important thing is to create a prepared adult, which you are doing by learning more about the methodology & by observing the child. And to prepare the environment. Which essentially comes down to creating as many "yes spaces" or spaces in the home that allow the child to move and explore with freedom! Of course keeping in mind that saf3ty always comes first 🫶 The main difference at infancy with Montessori is we really try to find opportunities to create a space where exploring IS allowed instead of relying on "no" or a gate to keep the baby out. Because this too is their home and of course they're going to be curious! But by allowing a bit of exploration in SOME spots, it is easier to enforce the boundary in others, because they have at least some breathing room with exploration.
