So my brother, he studied science and told me when you open the door and hot hits cold it breaks glass and shatters. That’s what causes that he said.

was he using the lower case Pyrex instead of the uppercase PYREX that is oven/ high temp safe. the lowercase isn't.

Years ago, I had a whole set of pans made out of glass one after another they broke and now I will never use glassware to cook with.
