The issue is everyone assumes “everyone picking red means no one dies” but blue is the one that literally states everyone lives. It’s empathy vs self importance. You pick red knowing someone may die.

It’s just worded to trick you into assuming blue is altruistic (“everyone lives”) and red is selfish (“reds live, blues die”). In reality, blue is irrational *either way*, for several reasons.

It’s because there’s no drawback to picking red. It’s guaranteed survival and there’s no indication that everyone can’t just pick red. You can’t kill any blue pills if there aren’t any

Everytime someone says there is no downside to picking Red, it blows my mind. We all know some people are picking Blue, so if most pick Red, then that choice is increasing the odds that Blue dies.
