I have a currency conversion app and it’s amazing you just type in the amount in whatever country you’re in and then it will tell you in USD or Canadian or whatever conversion you want!

I've had the exact opposite experience, my first day in Japan I spent 500 yen at a store and I had a breakdown because in my head 500 is like so much money until I realised it was like 5$ 😅

idk how this happens to people. when I was in Japan I was converting almost every purchase on my phone before swiping the card. then you get a hang of what's $10, $25, $100 etc

If you’re from Australia get up bank it has a currency conversion feature for like basically any currency and it automatically works in most countries
