@henriqueolsen: International Jaguar Day! 🐾😳🐆 Seeing a jaguar hunt is rare enough, but catching one in action on a beach? That’s just insane! This footage, captured by me (@henriqueolsen) during one of our photo tours, shows a jaguar stalking a family of capybaras. We had been following her for over 30 minutes when she found the family. Then, she froze, waiting for the perfect moment and after 40 minutes of patience, she got it. This time, it was the father capybara’s turn. Just two weeks ago, I witnessed another jaguar take down two babies from the same family. What started as six is now just three. Will the little ones survive, or is it time for them to move on? 💔 Today, we celebrate this apex predator, an icon of the Americas, and remember how important jaguars are to keeping nature in balance.
