Jealousy is a compass and pain is a portal. This time of year especially can be tough for people who aren’t where they want to be in life. For example, this week is the height of the glamorous time of year in the South of France and Monaco. I’ve seen the influencers on red carpets in Cannes, the gowns, the glamour, the galas. This weekend many of those same influencers will be at F1 in Monaco, many on yachts or attending exclusive invite-only events. 
When I see these things on my feed, I feel a moment of jealousy and wonder: “Why not me?”
“Will it ever happen for me?”
“Am I just fantasizing about a life I’ll never reach?” But here’s the truth: Rationally, I know that I’m just starting out and my accounts are in their infancy while most of these influencers have been posting for years. 
But this jealousy isn’t shameful. It is a signal. It means: some part of me already recognizes that life as mine.
It means: that timeline exists and my body is remembering it. Because I don’t just want to be at Cannes to take photos.
I want to be there in my softness. In my power. In my visibility.
Not hustling. Not forcing. Not proving. And when I get there, it will be from alignment with my life’s purpose. Not approval.
From self-sourced wealth, not desperation.
From magnetism, not performance. So no: I’m not ashamed of the desire for luxury or to be seen in that way.
