I Never use Glass in an Oven & I use a steel roasting pan. The glass was definitely not tempered. You are describing thermal cycling same principle for hardening steel

there is also 2 types of Pyrex. the older version is made better, it has the all cap PYREX on them.

True! One time my bf and I put a glass in the freezer to use later. The next day I took out the glass and put cold water in it and it broke! He explained it to me later but damn this should be a PSA😂

It is also the same with metal cookware. Let the pan cool down before you rinse it, the temp change will warp it

I've never seen someone try to make a turkey in a pan like this. Always a roaster pan or foil roaster. Never glass.
