I just had 16 of those pines professionally cut down, cut I to 10' logs and stacked on the back of the property. It costed me $4000 total. North Florida.

General rule of thump if it’s close enough to fall on your house remove it! And as far as pines versus oak trees it really depends several factors:the soil, saturation of the soil, and wind-strength

Pine trees have no tap root that’s why they snap and fall

I built my house in the middle of timber and 150 year old white oaks. Many told me I should cut them down. Insanity! I’d NEVER do that. They add $$$ to the value of my home.

at our school 2 pines up rooted and 1 snapped in 1/2 about 30 ft up. the oak trees that went down was big ones . we had a lot of trees down here in Tpa bay area
