Wrap it and paint it white so it doesn’t distract or clash with the railing. It doesn’t need to be prominent feature in any way.

I really like the wood wrap idea. Then it will blend in and hopefully disappear next to the stairs. I think white would be too eye catching

Wrap it white too match the walls.. it’s a busy area with black when railing is done I think it will blend in the background like the walls will..

My daughter lived in Palm coast she moved 2 years ago to Destin now they are moving back. I need her to put up signs saying congratulations when yall move in! She is moving on 12/20!

Crazy DIY idea but what about adding a second post at the beginning of the stairs to the first floor and adding tempered glass in between the posts to build a glass waterfall
