Today we are back and I am showing you one of my most requested seasonal videos. Every year I get asked for Christmas tree care and advice, so I thought I would quickly show you before it gets too late. I absolutely love Christmas trees, but like all living plants, if you want the best results there are a few quick steps to follow. Now I am a big fan of potted Christmas trees, and I’ve actually had the same one for many years now. However, it’s got a little bit big for indoors, so it’s time for another one. I was shocked at just how expensive they are, so the majority of these tips are for people who buy a cut tree instead. The most important thing to do is cut an inch off the bottom, which will remove the layer of sap, and allow the tree to absorb water better. A lot of people say water with boiling water, but I think this isn’t a particularly good idea for a few reasons. I use regular temperature and have had no issues. Just make sure you are using a tree stand that can hold a good amount of water other wise you are filling it up every day! It’s also a good idea to let your tree settle down before decorating.
