This only angers me only a little less than imported dairy products. I get it keeps the prices fluid in the stores but I don’t want to eat beef from anywhere but here, canada maybe.

I think the real number is 43% of LIVE imports. we are still importing processed beef. In the US we strive to raise USDA choice or better. Why would we chop up a nice prime rib for ground beef?

Canada doesn’t have many cows. Herd is dropping in size. Stricter husbandry rules here in Canada than US.

Feeder cattle coming into usa feedyards from mexico probably alot but get fed here would be the 43% to me that's why feeder calves increase so much just my thought I could be wrong
