I heard a YouTuber say the downfall of COD and especially Black Ops 6 is because of DEI hire. Like the game that's been falling apart since the original MW2 is because of DEI.

building an engine is incredibly expensive, very few companies actually have their own engine, and ue5 is an amazing engine

so, what the woke crowd is say is devs have to make their own game engines which by the way is both expensive and time-consuming(I wouldn't know) or use unity I guess

They don't know the first thing about game development. Very few notable titles use bespoke engines (Minecraft, Creation, NMS) and Unreal, Unity, CryEngine, etc. are ubiquitous for a reason

100 legitimate reasons to hate unreal engine 5 and ppl get mad because “woke”. Yea, not the horrible CPU scaling, shader comp issues, stutters, blurry taa, etc… 😅
