Que triste realidad viven por más de 70 años los países del medio oriente, cuando por una ideología política o por una creencia religiosa no pueden llegar a un acuerdo y lograr la paz.

President-elect Trump on Monday said he has a “warm spot” for TikTok when asked about the possible ban that could soon be imposed on the social media giant. “We’ll take a look at TikTok,” he said during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago, adding that the short-form vertical video app helped him win young voters in last month’s election. “I have a warm spot in my heart for TikTok.” TikTok could face a ban in U.S. app stores as early as Jan. 19 after Congress passed a law in April seeking to force its sale by Chinese parent company ByteDance. A federal appeals court upheld the law earlier this month, finding that it did not run afoul of the First Amendment, as the company argued in court. “The First Amendment exists to protect free speech in the United States,” Judge Douglas Ginsburg wrote in the court’s opinion. “Here the Government acted solely to protect that freedom from a foreign adversary nation and to limit that adversary’s ability to gather data on people in the United States.” TikTok said it intends to appeal the case to the Supreme Court though it’s unclear if justices will agree to hear the case. “The Supreme Court has an established historical record of protecting Americans’ right to free speech, and we expect they will do just that on this important constitutional issue,” Michael Hughes, a spokesman for TikTok, said in a statement. Lawmakers cited national security concerns in passing the law, fearing the app could allow the Chinese government to obtain sensitive data on Americans. They also raised concerns that Beijing could manipulate the app’s algorithm to shape what content is seen on the platform. President Trump sought to ban the app during his first term but came out against such action during the 2024 campaign. #tiktok #tiktokban #trump #maralago #cspan
