Only telling them what you want them to stop doing doesn’t give them any information on what they SHOULD DO. 2. Remain calm and use a neutral tone of voice. 3. Pay attention to and reinforce your kids when they follow your instructions. If you only ever pay attention to them when they aren’t listening then those are the behaviors you will see more of.
