I’m so late to this but I have this same exact one. My hose couldn’t fit on my faucet either. I went under the sink cabinet and connected it that way. Only thing is turning the water knob on and off 😭 but no this doesn’t affect my sink water at all.

I use hot water with mine. I don’t have separate hot/cold knobs, just a lever faucet. I put the drain hose in my tub and learned from other videos to use a mesh strainer to catch all the lint. Otherwise you’ll clog your apartment pipes real fast!
