I suggest blowing the lines with air first before pumping the antifreeze in so there is no dilution.

I feel like draining all the water is all that's necessary. you know, can freeze if there's nothing to freeze.

We just empty all tanks, blow our lines out with air. And have never had an issue. Family member did the anti freeze in lines and have always had a funny taste to the water since.

I do a little more first. I blow mine out then do anti freeze then blow the antifreeze out so it’s all ready for spring. It’s probably over kill but better safe than sorry

One thing you forgot is your low points, I work on these so I’ll just tell you this, also you can open a sink to release pressure as well to prevent the pressure in water heater
