@steph_claire_smith: Determined to move my body whenever i feel able to this pregnancy! I was so fortunate to feel well enough to keep moving my body with my first, and i think it helped so much with feeling strong as my belly grew, strong through my birth and also in my recovery ❤️ #pregnant #pregnancy #exercise #womenshealth #pilates

Dogs that resource guard, showing aggressive behaviors to keep humans (or other dogs) away from particular items is at an all time high. Sticking your hand in your dogs food dish won’t help you, but it will help me get more business because it will make your dogs guarding worse. Controlling space around resources is vital. Can I move my dogs away from me, the couch, bones, toys, food, etc. but NOT physically restrain them, which will also make it worse. When working with dogs that show this behavior, the first step is to stop allowing the reheat of the behavior. Typically meaning, stop giving your dog that resource, at least in a way that is setting them up to be protective. During this time you want to teach your dog skills, going to their place, backing away from items etc, and if necessary, reintroduce trigger with your newly obtained skills. This particular dog Phoebe was aggressing when someone would mean down over the item and attempt to pull it away. First step, never do that again, and second step, teach Phoebe that moving away from the item is going to happen, but can be extremely rewarding! If you have a dog that shows resource aggression, 1, keep a leash on at all times for safety, 2, hire someone who has dealt with this, and 3, understand that their is a breakdown in your relationship somewhere with your dog. Mending that relationship through boundaries, leadership, and consistency will take time, but it’s necessary to have a safe dog in your home. #DogTraining #dogtrainingtips #balanceddogtraining #dogs #resourceguarding
