When I host I make up the leftover containers and tell guests there are leftovers on the counter, take some if you like. Everything else I put away.

As host I make left over packs according to the family size and keeping my left over in mind at family dinners at my place. If not they gonna take everything.

I always take one plate, but if the food is good I ask for a second plate. I never take more than that I’ve seen my sil family take all their food because they give it to greedy sil 🙄.

I went to my best friends for Thanksgiving and I gave her over half the casserole and the rolls. I left with just the casserole. It's rude to take when not given permission

idk, my family always does potlucks and we make sure to give the host first call. the most people take back is a plate for home and the dish they brought

I don’t like left overs so I wouldn’t have minded. Unless it was banana pudding- or baked ziti. Those are the only 2 things I’d get in my feelings over 💀🤣

I brought 3 dishes to Thanksgiving this year and my stepmom packed almost all the left overs from them for my little brother. But didn’t offer us any left over meat or potatoes

Yes my aunts brothers and there family took all the meat but yet left all the side dishes which yes is good but with no meat it’s not really a meal

im not even sure if id want to take leftovers from the host? it would especially depend on how much is left. maybe in this situation i would have taken one plate. taking more than 1 plate per person home is so greedy. if i was op id never host again. these people have no sense
