@wearecurated: Meet our 2012 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. 1 of 8 produced for the USA, and believed to be 1 of 1 in “Black Metallic,” for the world. To achieve a 268mph world land speed record, Bugatti needed to revise the aerodynamics of the Veyron. The most notable visual difference of the Super Sport and the standard Veyron would be the sleek covered engine bay, to reduce air turbulence at the middle of the car, and the missing prominent air ducts. The air ducts became 2x massive NACA vents eliminating any drag and increasing the amount of air needed for the 1,200hp monster. In addition to a “low drag” profile, Bugatti installed larger turbos, intercoolers and added two additional fuel pumps resulting in 199hp increase and 184lbs ft of torque. To reduce weight, the Super Sport utilized a higher modulus carbon fiber monocoque, making the car almost 100lbs lighter and stronger!
