He could do Fastcat under the canine partner program. When you search Fast Cat events they tell you if it's fenced in. You don't have to call your dog back. You catch them at the end.

You can do PAL AKC registration. Both my dogs did not come with papers and I registered them as PAL AKC. Now they compete same as any other AKC dog, except confirmation.

not all AKC coursing ability tests are fenced in but all fast CAT are fenced... side note I had no clue JRT weren't apart of the AKC
