The ER nurse wheeled me up to my lumbar puncture in a wheelchair. 😂 TBH I didn’t think anything of it either until she got yelled at. Then I felt soooo bad.

LVAD patients definitely have vitals.. just not a normal BP/pulses (unless they have a HM3 & are pulsatile which can happen). You have to get their MAP with a Doppler/manual BP cuff :)

during my 1st code blue i pushed “analyze” on the zoll when the doctor told me to shock and i had never shocked before 😭😂 to this day i still ask my preceptor why she never made fun of me for that

GIRL the MUCH WORSE stories I have from being an ER nurse for only 4 years 😂 give yourself grace and just take your time, if no harm comes to the patient then it’s all going to be okay 🩷

Im a new grad in the ER too! I was doing CBI with my preceptor and let’s just say I put a little too much power into irrigating and sprayed all of us (including the patient) with saline 🥴🥴
